Ready for my confession?
Real talk — I set a goal back in January to blog every other week and send you a regular email. It’s now May 1.
Blahhhhhh. 🙈🙈🙈
Here’s the thing though — I tell my students this all the time: nobody’s watching that closely, and people want to know what’s new. So instead of quietly pretending I ghosted you for the last few months, I’m just going to own it.
Life happened. A lot of it, actually.
Let me catch you up…
Softball season started and ended. Yep, both our rec season, as well as our competitive season. Since January, we’ve had somewhere between 3-5 softball games each week. It’s been a fun ride for the Warriors and Red Hot Chili Hitters.
Baseball season started… and, still continues. We’re officially Cubs fans.
End-of-year school craziness has kicked in. With Cody finishing up 5th grade, we are officially preparing for our exit from elementary school, which has been our second home for the last 8 years.
And, on a personal note – I somehow ended up on the softball board and spent a good chunk of my spring organizing opening day, picture day, parent night out, the silly egg tournament over Easter and my favorite, sorting 750 Padres tickets for 750 people who all had opinions about their seats. (You’re welcome, softball families. 😂)
Oh, and I traveled a little.
By “a little” I mean Cancun, Vegas, Scottsdale, Palm Springs, Chicago (with an unexpected detour through Iowa — a story for another day), San Clemente for spring break with the fam, and St. Louis. ✈️ Speaking to leaders at jBloom Designs and Pampered Chef were a few of my favorite events so far in 2026!
All in about four months. 🫨
And… just to brag for a minute… I also, you know, fed my family and kept my house mostly clean. Mostly. Wins all around.
Work-wise?
It was actually a really good stretch. We welcomed 8 new members into VIP in Q1 and April, ran 5 Oh My Hi workshops, kept the Academy humming, hosted weekly Make Money Mondays, dropped a new podcast episode every single week, served some amazing corporate clients, and dove deep into learning how to use AI tools to actually systematize everything I teach. Spoiler alert: it’s changing how I work in the best way. ✨
What’s Next…
So here I am. Not starting over — just picking back up. There’s a difference.
I’m committing to every other week going forward. Not because I have to, but because I genuinely love having a place to think out loud with you that isn’t a caption or a reel or a story that disappears in 24 hours. This little corner of the internet is mine, and I want to use it.
No pressure. No dramatic relaunch. Just showing up, doing better, recalibrating.
